Yo malt: vor 2016 gemalt

Ich habe erst im Mai 2012 mit dem "echten" Malen (wieder) angefangen.

Aufgehört hatte ich damit irgendwann während meines Graifikdesignstudiums:

Ich zeichnete ab da eigentlich nur noch, und als es dann Farbe sein musste, habe ich mich ins digitale Malen reingearbeitet (erst Painter, dann Photoshop). Das passte auch ganz gut so, denn als Illustratorin entstehen bei mir fast alle Bilder als Auftragsarbeiten, inkl. diverser Korrekturstufen und müssen für den Druck sowieso digital aufbereitet werden.

Trotz aller Unkenrufe habe ich das haptische, die echten Farben nie vermisst.

Bis ich anfing mit ein paar Illustratorenkollegen Zeichen-und Malausflüge zu machen. Da reichte mir das Zeichnen irgendwann nicht mehr, da waren einfach soooviel Licht und Farben um mich herum: Ich musste malen! Die allerersten Versuche waren mit Gouache (das war nix), aber dann wühlte ich die uralten Ölfarben, die ich im Studium von meinen Prof geschenkt bekam heraus und Tadaaa!: das war's!

Ich zeige hier eine Auswahl der Ölbilder, die ich seit dem ersten Ölbild bis 2016 gemalt habe.

Seit dem 1. Bild nummeriere ich alle durch, daran kann man also in etwa erkennen, wie groß die Schritte zwischen den Bildern sind.

I only started "real" painting (again) in May 2012.

I had stopped at some point during my studies in graphic design:

I only drew from then on, and when it had to be colour, I worked my way into digital painting (first Painter, then Photoshop). It was a good fit, because as an illustrator, almost all of my works are commissioned, including various correction stages, and have to be digitally prepared for printing anyway.

Despite all the prophecies of doom, I never missed the haptic, the real colours.

Until I started going on drawing and painting excursions with a few illustrator colleagues.

At some point drawing was no longer enough for me, there was just so much light and colour around me:

I had to paint! The very first attempts were with gouache (that was nothing), but then I dug out the ancient oil paints that my professor had given me during my studies and tadaaa:

that was it!

Here I show a selection of the oil paintings I have done since the first oil painting until 2016.

Since the first painting I have numbered them all, so you can roughly see how big the steps are between the paintings.
